Ribbon Cut, Memories Made: Celebrating a Year of Lakeshore Family Campground

May 23, 2024, marked a truly special moment for us at Lakeshore Family Campground—our official ribbon cutting ceremony! Though we first opened up back on February 1st, this day was the moment it all became real. With family, local representatives, and members of the Chamber by our side, we celebrated not just the opening of a campground, but the beginning of a community.

It might have just been a ribbon and some big scissors—yeah, a classic photo-op—but it was also a surreal and joyful reminder of how far we had come. As we kicked off our first sold-out Memorial Day weekend, we had no idea it would be the start of something so big. Fast forward to today, and we’re heading into another Memorial Day weekend—only now, it's just one of many fully booked weekends we've had.

Over the past year, we’ve watched LFC transform into more than just a place to stay—it’s become a home base for families, friends, and adventurers. We've had entire groups book out the campground for their summer getaways, and we've loved hearing stories from guests about peaceful mornings on the lake, quiet nights under the stars, and memories made around the campfire.

We’ve also stayed true to our identity: LFC can't be everything to everyone—and that’s okay. If you're looking for a water park, busy schedules, or curated entertainment, you might not find it here.
